The United States Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) together with the Hawthorne Police Department will be holding the very 1st NATIONAL Coffee with a Cop. This national event will be held on Friday, October 7, 2016. The purpose of this movement is to give citizens the opportunity to have conversations with law enforcement officers over a cup of coffee, build a stronger bond and help defuse the existing tensions.
Artesia Police Department is pleased to announce that it will also be joining the more than 2,000 other law enforcements agencies on that day. Our local Coffee with a Cop will be held at Henry's Barbecue, 811 W. Main, from 7:00-9:00 am! Please come join our officers who would love to have a conversation with you over a nice cup of coffee. Not a coffee drinker? Not a problem! Henry's Barbeque will offer 1/2 price fountain drinks...
We welcome all to come spend time with our officers and talk about matters that are important to you!
